    When I said this...

The year 1914, which is the year that the Gentile Times (aka Appointed Times of the Nations) ended, was determined though a study of the Bible along with no doubt some holy spirit given to the brothers that were able to discern this information.
OK ... It's obvious you live in your own little world...

    She (he) said....

Poztate, what's your point -- you trying me?

Go ahead, make my day. Don't hold back. Be as rude as you like, I can take it.

A touch on the sensitive side I would say. I was only trying to point out the very obvious point that as a WT apologist thinking is not neccesary. The party line and obvious indoctrination is apparent with this statement. Hopefully if she (he) sticks around they will start to learn how to think and reason for themselves. Welcome to the board....And real life.

Don't get me started... 1914 is my favorite topic...

I'm almost finished reading "The Gentile Times Reconsidered"

This wasn't holy spirit... everone was pointing to different years... and nome of the 7 predictions that Russell made about 1914 came true, so they had to re-invent it to mean the Kingdom.

Rev1212... if you are sincere... please investigate. (Hints: How do you know Luke 21 is related to Dan Ch. 4? How do you know Dan Ch 4 is talking about the enthronement of Christ if its about Nebucadnezzar? And finally, what proof is there that Jerusalem was destroyed in 607BCE).

Once you address these points, please post.

    Thanks.. A@G

On top of what has already been said (607 B.C.E. is a made up year that is entirely contrary to the voluminous evidence) the WT states that a "prophetic year" (as in the 2,520 days) is 360 days, yet they arbitrarily switch to 365 day years to arrive at 1914. Their own crazy talk is internally inconsistent.

Evidently 1914 WAS a marked year! Spread the word!

Those "bible students" didn't think 1914 was the beginning of the end. They thought the end would come in 1914.
They went up in some tower on top of the roof in white garments waiting for God to take em up to heaven.
When that didn't happen they made up the story that 1914 was the beginningof the end, not the end which started in 1874.

So go figure. It is all one big pile of

Looks like Rev1212 left the building, his CO found out he was associating with us and gave him a good ass-reaming.

one of them from Ezekiel about "Lifting off the crown and it will be no one's until he who has the legal right comes".

This is one of the "proof texts" put forward by the WTS to prove the link between 607 and 1914.

In fact, if you research this, there are good reasons to believe the "crown" was not a reference to King Zedekiah at all but was a reference to the High Priest!!! I believe that even the Insight Volumes allude to this possibility.

That is a point I have made before also. There is just NO WAY they can make their numbers add up...
