It just goes to show you how ingrained that stuff is... to a person who was never a Dub it would sound stupid...but it didn't even dawn on me 'til you mentioned it.

I hate the way they use the word Christendom too. They redefine it to mean all the christian churches that are not JWs. Thats not what the word means.

Ooooh, I remember that song! When we sang about mendacious men I pictured thin warty cretins with flowing capes and thick, dark eyebrows over long, pointy noses....scary!!!

I think it was "efficacious" and I don't remember why...probably something about how God was going to preserve us from the warty cretins!
