"Why does America always bomb other countries?",

Here's the way I would explain it:

Well you see son USA has the biggest miltary the world has ever known. One of thier main businesses is making weapons, and they have 100s of military bases all over the world. They also have this big building in Washington DC called the Pentagon that is full of computors that plan out how to win wars,, many of these people that work for the Pentagon have gone to college and have special training on how to fight and win wars, how to be as efficiant as possible in taking over countries and stuff like that.

All this money that the US goverment on training and stock piling weapons has to pay off or else the government will find it too expencive with little returns. So in order keep the payrole up and to stay employed, many will do what it takes to keep their jobs,,, and so advice from the Pentagon as far as war planning and such maybe a little biaed to make sure everybody keeps thier nice paying jobs. And sometimes just to justify expences the US will show off some of its firepower just to let the world know they are the Biggest Supper Power in the world. There are many psychological reason why the US government war planners feels free and easy about pushing the envolope and seeing what they can get away with on the world scene,, the small penis theory has some validity IMO Both Bushes probably got real small cocks,, and Greed and Ignorance of those in power especially that of the President play thier role as well not to mention any phobias like George Bush's which causes him to see a terrorist chasing him in his dreams,, so I think we can also add to the fact that the US president doesn't have to under go any psychological screening which means his unrealistic fears becomes the militaries fears and subject to his over reaction.

Son I know thier are many more reasons than this, but if you can understand this much the rest is just history.

By Jove Frankie, I think you've got it!

Are all the Bush's under 6 feet tall? Don't underestimate short man syndrome. (Appologies to any short guys in the room.)

How will Haliburton survive if we are at peace??

    Beks,

I'm 5'7" never thought of myself as short but I was intimate with this big girl for awhile and she used to say that I acted very tough and got into fights with bigger people as a compansation for being short I had to prove myself or something. She may be right to a limited degree.

Anyway I'm not running any big world power government so that's not important but more comical.

Well, of course, no "country" attacked the United States. Al Queda did. I, for one, understand the military logic in occupying Iraq, the central-most country in the middle-east Muslim world, while not defending its borders. As supposed "freedom fighter" insurgents stream across the border unimpeded to reinforce their "brotherhood," they're met by Marines and the 10th Mountain Division. In my (very limited) thinking, Baghdad and Basra beats Boston or Baton Rouge any day. I believe the strategy is called "Roach Motel."

This is a "war" that's gone on for 3500 years. The names and faces change; but it's 'same war, different day.' Ain't religion great?

I'm not quite sure what you're saying Carlos. But Al Qaeda wasn't in Iraq until we got there. They were however in Afghanistan, but for some reason we seem to have essentially abandoned our troops there. Some of those guys are on their 7th tours of duty. Bush thinks it's "romantic".

    1. Europe may well have lost without the US joining the war.

    2. Germany would not have won the "conventional" war anyway - we would all be speaking Russian now :-)

    3. Despite 2 above, there is compelling evidence that Germany was only 6 - 12 months from a nuclear weapon, and would have not hesitated to drop it on London & Washington etc. (so who would YOU have preferred to have developed nukes first?)

    4. The war could have been ended by dropping one nuke on one uninhabited island. Dropping them on 2 inhabited cities was a totally, utterly, evil shitty, evil (did I mention evil?) thing to do.

Yes we won. Good. The Nazis were/are monsters (read how different are radical muslims?) However, it should and could have been done without the experiment to see what would be the short, medium and long term effects on the men, women, children, and future people (+ animals) of the cities attacked.

Frankie, I'm sure you make up for your stature in BRAINS!!! Anyone who thinks that gassing on about conspiracy theories (which is a PERFECT example of short guy syndrome)instead of recommendations to register to vote, isn't so much blessed with brains, but rather an over abundance of self importance, most likely a direct carry over from being an expert WITNESS. It is people like this that are the reason that Bush served his second term. Gas bagging blow hards that didn't vote. Why didn't Frankie and his fellow blowhards vote against Bush in 2000 and 2004? Because they are politically impotent....and this volatile cocktail of having short guy syndrome and being impotent has left Frankie and his fellow blowhards with the distinct honor of being absolutely politically insignifigant. The knock against Bush is that he is a blow hard, and as you can see from the writings on this forum, his harshest critics share the same quality. Birds of a feather. Any Americans who have recently left the WT, please help America by registering and voting in this years election. Whether you vote for Obama or McCain, resist the temptation to take the easy way out and excuse your lack of participation by blaming the global conspiracy. You were impotent as a witness. Don't be impotent as an American voter. It is your choice.

One of the most amusing and common events on this Board is when a person crticicizes another for their onlne behavior and does so using the very same method that they are ctiticizing others for. Your post is a perfect example of a 'blowhard' criticizing others for being 'blowhard'. Not that I disagree with the main thrust of your post of course, it is just that lecturing others about lecturing others always sounds like, well....lecturing. HS
