I haven't seen the thread.
I tend to like JCanon: he's probably one of the nicest messiahs around, and I suspect is not nearly as crazy as he sounds, as he can occasionally show some self-derision -- stuck in a role play probably, but who isn't? I seldom respond to his posts though, only on details where I feel some limited discussion is possible.
However, I understand why some may feel the need for kindly and discretely alerting new posters who are starting to take him seriously about his peculiar literary genre, before they get completely mixed up.

I thought that the response to JCannon on the locked thread was for the most part positive. It seem that people do accept him and his unique style and find it entertaining.
I have seen far more abuse and swearing by longstanding posters on threads that were not locked.
JCannon clearly comes here for the attention. Has anyone asked him whether he objected the comments made?
