I really don't want to alarm you but you have been scammed. Never ever ever give out your personal information. I had this happen to me last year from England and the guy just needed a copy of my drivers license. The guy in Englalnd gave me a telephone number and all the particulars and it just sounded to good to be true. I spoke with the police and gave them his phone number. They police said all they want is your idenity and your money. He says don't even open them up as many of them have virus. Or once you sign into their website your in trouble.

I hope it isn't to late for you to change you private information.

I was just going to give them my ID and that little voice in side me compelled me to contact the cops and I am sure glad I did do that.

Now when ever I get emails from people who insist they are needing money to be put into your account run for the hills and spam it immediately. Or they tell you they have millions from a family member and they need to open up an address here in Canada. I just think it is dreadful these scams are. And now people who cliam to be servants of God and need help and ask you for your prayers etc don't even finish reading it spam it .

I was fortuante in that I called the authorities. It was a gut feeling.

Orangefatcat, I know this is a scam. I am being sarcastic about being rich. I didn't give them any info.

I have felt left out because I never got the nigerian scam email before. So I finally got it and it turns out to be the Iranian scam instead.

I don't like being left out. lol

    Loosie,

Looks like you and me both! I got one today from a fine upstanding citizen of Kuwait, Mrs. Solomon! Here is part of her email~

    From Mrs naomi solomon,
    N°38 Rue Des Martyrs Cocody
    Abidjan,Cote d'Ivoire,

    Attn:
    Dearest One Of God

I am the above named person from Kuwait. I am married to Mr solomon
anthony.who worked with Kuwait embassy in Ivory Coast for nine years
before he died in the year 2005. We were married for many years with
    out
child. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days.

Before his death we were both born again Christian. Since his death I
decided not to remarry or get a child outside my matrimonial home which
    the
Bible is against. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum
    of
(US$2.500million dollars in a Bank in Abidjan Cote d'Ivoire west
africa).Presently, the fund is still with the bank.Recently, my Doctor
    told
me that i have serious sickness which is cancer problem.

How very sad..... For the person doing it, and the one who falls for it.

If you have plenty of spare time on your hands you could entertain yourself by scamming the scammer and at the same time, wasting his time.

Loosie, wow they found you and wanted to make you rich LOL

I get those Kuwait, Iraq, Africa things almost every week and everyday it seems some lonely girl in Russia or somewhere wants to make me happy and talk to me. Is she a lesbian?? she doesn't care who she emails.

I put an ad in the Buy and Sell Newspaper twice last year. Once to sell my Moms Yamaha Organ and once to sell a dog. I got about 2 dozen offers to buy them sight unseen from people in Paris, California etc. They said they would just send me a money order in the mail and they would arrange shipping. The cost of the Organ was $450 so they would send me a $1000 and All I had to do was cash the check and send the shipping fee to the shipper immediately.

the first time I didn't get it and just thought it was weird and I tried emailing and saying I don't want to be involved with the shipping, just pay me cash. They had all kinds of excuses, like I am on a honeymoon in Hawaii and we really want it but can't get back in time. So I gave my address to one of them and he sent me a Walmart money order for $950 US. The post stamp was Paris France. Gave me instructions to go immediately to a Moneymart and cash it. It was Sunday so I said NO. I emailed him and said I will take it to the bank and nothing will be done until it clears. The bank said it would take 2 weeks to clear. It didn't and fortunately for me the bank didn't charge me for the NSF money order.

I learned my lesson. I felt so STUPID.

Well I have never received anything like that. One thing I do is when I get an E mail from anybody I don't know I send it right to spam.

There they will be tortured for 1,000. years until the resurrection!...

Then they will have the job of cleaning up everyones spam mail...

    Serves them right!!!!

    Snoozy..
