Look at Russell's history! He was a drunk, and had sexual relations with his secretary. (that , incidentally, wore underwear with the nipples removed!) If people looked beyond that so many years ago, they will surely look beyond all these false prophecies not coming true.

BRING ON THE NEW LIGHT! YEAH BABAY!

Hopefully, thinking JW's will continue to question the heinous, ridiculous decisions made by their organization, and eventually follow their consciences. I think many will leave over the next 5-10 years.

There is a significant amount of JW's who question nothing...amazingly. There will always be a faithful flock.

But like it's what's been said, they are in morph mode. No relaxing of the rules as I can see, although changes slight and major are really happening to the doctrine.

    **sigh**

The new system was always in reach before. It's not anymore. How can the slave keep the troops motivated with only a promise of a dirt nap then, resurrection? The carrot is not as appealing these days. The slave seems to be pushing the end beyond reach. They are backed in a corner and look more like Pharasees everyday.

I believe the 2035 date will get a push. It's far enough away to start the spin and yet within most of our lifetimes

    Not soon enough,

there seems to be already a down sizing going on , a cowering as it were , but believe me the boys seated at top are not going to let go

of their acquired power and privilege that easily.

I believe the jw religion could potentionally live forever while never delivering the promise of everlasting life to it's members. At this point, I hope they continue to mainstream themselves to become just another relatively harmless religion. I'd be content if they rid themselves of the shunning doctrine and the blood doctrine.

There's always sheep out there. I hate to say it but I don't see them disappearing. They may shrink and become completely hard core. But I've seen the craziest religions continue to exist despite any logical reason. I do feel that the growth is over

It could have ended in 1915 after their first botched prediction. It could have ended in 1874 when Jesus pulled a no show. It could have ended when Booze Rutherford started making more rules and inventing field circus as we know it. It could have ended in 1976 after the 1975 disaster. It could have ended in 1996, after they changed a "generation" so it could bumble on forever and then said that it wasn't going to be much later than once thought.

But, the Washtowel Slaveholdery survived all that. As long as they are prohibited from using independent sources to verify things and they are fed the boasting sessions, there will always be Jehovah's Witlesses.
