    I felt vindication!

The year earlier I had brought up this up with the PO. I had seen a TV movie based on Allan Gurganus's book about a civil war widow. The woman was not physically of the civil war generation but due to her marriage to a civil war veteran became a representation of that generation. Needless this didn't go over well....and several labels where attached to my name.

When I got it in the mail, I proceeded to talk about it with several friends, elders. I think they were dumbfounded.

I remember thinking, "I wondered how they were going to change it!"

Like most of the comments, I really can't remember much about this Generation change, and even less about the sorting of the sheep and the goats! What is that all about????

I was in the Org for over thirty years, but must have left my brain at home for that meeting!

It wasn't until we came across the UN scandal that the penny began to drop - now we're well and truly out from there

Thanks Warf, I was delighted, because sis is the smart one and i think its the first time I ever got the better of her.

It's amazing how your IQ soars after leaving the dubs!

And yes, she is a very sweet, dedicated, self-sacrificing, my lifes on hold till the new system, drone.

I was mad. I was pissed right off.

The thing is, I didn't find out until 2002. I still had the fear that I was going to get killed off at Armageddon. I knew it was right around the corner because how long could the Gen of 1914 live now? When I found out they changed it (Thanks to Randy's site), I was furiously mad.

It's like being taught the color Red was Yellow. Then you find out the truth years later and realize that you've been lied to all your life. But that change in doctrine completely freed me of the fear of Armageddon and instead of being afraid of what my future held, it made me look forward to my future. It was an essential step in me becoming a more positive person.

I was very active as an elder and fully beleived even though never bought fully in the 1914 generation.

After the study i realized that the GB did not know their left from their right in their interpretation of the scriptures.

I told my ex, " When the GB could not stretch the 1914 generation anymore, they came up with the new light"

she did not say a word and did not appreciate the negative comment.

I was a bit puzzled by their reasoning and found it rather unconvincing. It was the catalyst to my leaving the borg a few years later.
