I cannot accept that all of this came by chance, but at the same time does this mean i have to worship a creator? And does it mean it's the God of the bible?

Still, that's what makes our universe so incredibly awe-inspiring. We don't know the exact mechanisms behind the origin of the universe and the development of diversified complexity, which means that our quest still goes on. The traditional God image can only be a temporary hypothesis, because it originates from our limited cognitive skills. Our universe is divine enough without the God of the bible, why messing up the magic?

Some of the other universes in the multiverse are probably much more "intelligently designed" than ours.

Maybe God hangs out in one of them?

When you understand why YOU dismiss all the other gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.

    Great stuff.

My favourite is the very first one, " Surely you do not believe in the gods? What's your argument? Where's your proof? ". Placing the need for evidence and proof direct into the theist's lap.

But the same can be asked of the atheist "Prove to me that there is no God."

What is the proof and evidence that God does not exist? Atheists believe that there is no God. How do you prove that something you say doesn't exist, doesn't exist?

Are people who are atheists, atheist because they can't be bothered believing in a God. Or do they genuinely believe there is no God. Which in itself requires a belief.

Someone (can't recall who) once said that he had never come across a "real atheist" every atheist he has met, has always revealed that they have that small doubt in their minds that there just might be a God.

The other thing I find puzzling about those who I have met and say they are atheists. Then go on to talk either about spirits/ghosts, other dimensions, pararell worlds etc. Saying that all these things do exist.

No, it requires nothing. It is disbelief. Just as I wager you dont believe in fairies. If you do not believe in fairies, this requires no belief on your part. You probably dont believe in Zeus either I'll bet. This requires NO belief on your part.
