Love can be unjust! Depending on the lover, the type of love and/or the object of the love. God knows how to love perfectly. Love is one of many attributes of God. The emotion (love) is not God. Nor is God simply an emotion (as some have tried to interpret 1st John 4).

Thing is, the ot laws were basically an eye for an eye. Nt writer paul, pronounced 'the law' perfect. Was it perfect justice? Ot divine justice seems to be based on a mathematical system. You could design a computer program to administer it. Just enter the sins, and it spits out the appropriate penances/punishments. No love in that system.

If god's love is perfect, why would it need modification by justice? Seems to me that divine justice is ego based. Here, on the earth, it is another story, entirely. Rules, laws and punishments are needed to keep the human animal nature within bounds. Why would a god who is described as being love need to take sides in this crap?

If the dead stand before biblegod when they die, does not everything become crystal clear in an instant? Does that not accomplish everything? Of what more use is added punishment?

He is described as being many things, He is also compassionate, merciful, patient, a consuming fire, and a jealous God. God is angry withthewicked every day. We can go on and on.

Perhaps, wrongly, i am focussing on the johanine 'god is love' pronouncement. Adding all the other descriptors, some which you list, gives biblegod a human profile, the only difference being that he is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent (eternal). Do you agree?

I think there are many more differences. As humans we a limited as to how we can understand the all the differences.

-Carl is rich. Very rich. He used to run and own the whole neighborhood, but after an hispanic couple were disobedient to his rules, he threw them out and then left the neighborhood, withdrawing his cash flow to the area. As a result, the area became poor, and many are sick.

-Carl now hates all hispanics. Well, OK, he doesn't hate them as such, but he hates the way they behave. So he hates the things they do and the way they do it. He won't let them come anywhere near him. "If they would only be like me", says Carl, "then I would welcome them into my life and love them, but they can't be like me, 'cause they're born hispanics. I've sent my son over there to teach them how to behave, but they beat the #¤% out of him. Some listened though, so I guess I have no beef with them, but they were very few. The rest of them I hate. Yeah, I know I could save a lot of those people if I put my money back into the area, but hey - it's my money and I can do with it what I damn well please. Besides, I am gonna spend some on those who become the way I want them to be."
