This story sounds made up. Besides, it's only a matter of time before the non-love of JW's beats the crap out of new ones. Trust me ... I was one of these idiots. It took me six years but I figured it out anyways. It's a revolving door. They'll go in and then they'll go out. The guy's pastor will give them some apostate lit and the whole bible study might end before they even step out of the revolving door.

This story sounds like the beginning of another human tragedy. Four unsuspecting humans being prepped for a living hell on earth. But you know, nobody is twisting their arms. At least not the adults. Too bad they have children.

For the last year or so I've made it a practice to defend Witness beliefs against fundies, and I always win the debate. Every time.
I'm not a JW, but I understand that JWs believe that Jesus is not God, nor the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last, the Alpha and Omega. If it's true that's what they believe, can you defend that belief? I believe that Revelation shows clearly that Jesus is God. If you disagree, come on over to the Bible Research forum and try to win yet one more debate.Joseph F. Alward

In my personal experience I have found that these wonderful success stories are exaggerated and one-sided. In other words, only the good parts of the story are shared on the platform or at the assembly etc. always making it sound miraculous.
When I was a youngster I remember one family that had started studying and was showing interest and their experience was shared at the circuit assembly. The family was so shocked that there interest had been so exaggerated and their story so misrepresented that they never came back to the Kingdom Hall again.

this seems to be an example of "witness folklore," meaning that although there may some sort of basis for this experience, some of the facts seem highly exaggerated. i've heard different versions of this experience over the last 22 years. maybe the interested family would like to take a field trip to northern pittsburgh to look at russells grave? that'd be neato.
i'm sick and tired of hearing things from uptight-short-sighted-narrow minded hypocritics. all i want is the truth just gimme some truth - John Lennon
