Meanwhile I have two sons who are both training this very week for redeployment over to the war zone in the near future. It isn't over yet.

I sincerely hope they come home safe and sound.

What is your source BTS? Your link doesn't work, and there is no indication in the text of the link as to what it is you are linking to.

Better link:
The source text where Bush talks.

I wince whenever I think of him opening his mouth in public.

U.S. President George Bush on Monday announced the withdrawal of 30,000 troops next July
Next July, he won't be President anymore...
He sure will be leaving a big mess for the next President though.

strip all the text away, like this: http://66.111.34.180 and you'll be able to get to an Arabic website.
Seems an odd place to go for non-news, that is reflected in an AP article BTS linked to.
The 30K troop think isn't reported here because it isn't news, it's been reported ages ago (and just throwing that number out there doesn't reflect the truth of the situation, either).
The "news" about this is that Gordon Brown announced he will not be withdrawing "on a timeline". This may or may not be true of course, but it's news that he announced it jointly with Bush because there were threats for the past couple of weeks that Brown would be telling Bush that they were done in Iraq. Obviously, some deals were made to at least put a different public face on while Bush is visiting.

The war had to end some day, I'm glad the surge worked so hopefully we can completely leave this mess Bush and his supporters created.
