I also like to do roast - any roast - lamb, pork, chicken:

With lamb I'll use garlic, rosemary and salt to season

With pork, garlic, thyme, cloves and salt

With chicken, garlic, rosemary, an orange or lemon shoved inside and salt.

With the above I'll do a whole host of veggies: Roast potatoes, sweet mashed butternut with cinamin, cauliflower & brocerlli in cheese sauce, oven roasted veggies with heaps of garlic. Basmati rice and gravy.

For desert: I love strawberries & cherries - so always try to get this in. Served with whipped brandy cream - and a little kiss of chocolate on the tip of the strawberry / cherry toooooooo die for !!!!!!!!!! I'll marry the man that makes this for me (and rubs my feet)

or I'll make up my own lil thing - the other night I lined each desert bowl with crushed biscuit base, spooned coffee/chocolate mousse with a dolop of pink cream into it.....drop a piece of mint with that and you're good to go.

This will make you F A T !! So beware.....

2 Fried eggs, over easy or over medium

    3 pieces of Crisp Bacon

    2 Sausage Patties

    2 Sausage Links

    A short stack of pancakes

A French Potato Cake cut into fourths

The potato cake is made by grating 6 potatoes into a bowl as if you were making hash browns. However you add them to a very hot 8" frying pan as one big cake. You salt liberally and then cover and cook over medium heat until the bottom is brown. Once browned you flip the cake over and cook again covered until the bottom is browned. You turn off the heat and let it sit in the pan for about 3-5 minutes. Then you turn it out onto a plate and cut it into four pieces to share. (Sometimes I put Ketchup on mine!!) My wife puts mustard on hers....errrr

That's a little much for me. Will you settle for a guy who puts the seat down?

For breakfast I like homemade venison sausages, boiled eggs with horseradish, and homemade cinnamon-raisin toast. Unfortunately I'm out of venison.

ja - I'm laughing - that actually doesn't bother me at all.

will you at least buy the cherries & foot cream. I'll feed myself and rub my own feet then.

I had a request for the home made granola, so thought I'd post it here for any others that were interested.

3 cups rolled oats (I use old fashioned, not instant)

    1 cup slivered almonds

    1 cup cashews

    3/4 cup shredded coconut

    1/4 cup + 2tbsp dark brown sugar

    1/4 cup + 2tbsp maple syrup

    1/4 cup vegetable oil

    3/4 tsp salt

    1 cup raisins

    Preheat oven to 250F

In a large bowl combine oats, nuts, coconut and brown sugar.

In another bowl combine maple syrup, oil and salt. Combine both mixtures and pour onto 2 sheet pans. Cook for 1 hr 15 min, stirring every 15 min. Remove from oven and add raisins.

I have never used the cashews - just a bit too rich for breakfast for me. You can use any nuts you like or any dried fruit, such as currants, dried blueberries, cherries, cranberries - whatever strikes your fancy. I also add cinnamon because I LOVE cinnamon! lol
