I'm 63 and have not had it done. I will be seeing my cardiologist in september and will ask him if I can have it done. I have aortic stenosis, a narrowing of the valve, and will be given more tests in september to see have serious it has progressd or not.
Thanks for your concern.

Zero,
They were supposed to knock me out for mine, but apparently I needed more anesthesia. The last thing I remembered was screaming:
WHOA HOOOOOOOOOOOO, then the doctor said to give me more. I checked out okay on that test, but later found out that I needed my gall bladder removed.
BTW, I sure was glad this wasn't a gay thread for those over 50.

I heard the nurse wisper to the Doctor, "He's watching the monitor" the Doc just continued...I didn't feel any pain at all...In the pre procedure doctors visit the doc is explaining everything to me and says he will put me to sleep I asked why that was necessary he said it is just a light medication and that if he shook my shoulder I would wake up and I thought to myself, "As opposed to what sticking a 5ft tube up my behind"...
