I really like, "Losing My Religion" and "Everybody Hurts", other than that, don't know many of their other songs.

I love Athens. I used to live in Lawreceville and my sister lived in Athens. I am a fan. I used to have a crush on Michael until he shaved his head. I must admit I haven't followed their Music since Out of Time. Another Athen's band I like: the B 52's.

no rem fan here,i know that one song.i went to see eric clapton about a month ago.$125 per ticket.i think it's worth to pay for that kind of performer once in a lifetime.i would not go out to see rem even if it was for free.i don't mean it in a bad way ,just not my thing.on the other hand,i went to see some horrible shows just because my son wanted to go.(the things we do for our children..)i've seen some good stuff in the past,i don't go out to concerts anymore unless it's somebody i really, really like.by the way i've got even with my son and dragged him to the ec show.

I like The End of the World As We Know It. Orange Crush. Stand. The One I Love. Every song on Out of Time especially Shiny Happy People. I like Out of Time and then going back the 80's direction. They did a great cover of Toys in the Attic and Draggin' the Line.

Saw REM in Minneapolis many many moons ago. Agreed on the diagnosis. The audience actually got a bit antsy many left halfway through, and there was no call for encore.

Didn't you read Dawg's first post? There is no right or wrong in art! Just opinion. Cog

Most 'big' bands are not worth the entrance fee. If you really are a music fan you should go see smaller gigs. They're often much more interesting events and cost loads less.

I would say i see 500+ bands a year as I'm a live sound engineer. I've never 'had a drink or two with Michael Stipe', I'm such a no-mark.

I saw them in the mid 90's with sonic youth, they were incredible. I like them as a band alot.
