a trip down memory lane. It sure was fun while it lasted.

seeker4,
:Does anyone remember when someone posted as though they were a GB member years ago on H2O? It fooled a few folks. Not sure how that all ended, or who did it.
I know who it was. He emailed me several times. It was none other than our own JCanon, aka Jesus Christ himself! He even admitted to it.
:The last I talked with Maximus, he had a son who was doing some screenwriting in Hollywood on a high level. Does anyone know how that went?
I believe Maximus told me his son didn't get the financing he needed.
:The Your Will Be Done book - yes I remember it. I'm trying to think of the book we studied as my parents were becoming Witnesses. It was in the early 1960s, and the book was from the late 50s.
Was it "Let God Be True"? Another book that was studied in those days was "What Has Religion Done For Mankind?"

AlanF~ A Really cool Down to earth Guy. Enjoyed meeting him. He and his wife seem really most interesting and delightful.

I remember You Know. We had a good time slapping him around on H20.
The false gb member.
The famous Your Will Be Done book which was released at the 1958 international conventions. I read that book while growing up in the borg. I still have it.That book has some really wild statements such claiming that jehover would use antimatter to help clean up the destruction caused by armageddon. Just more wishful thinking by a cult mentality.

Let God Be True! Yes! We studied that and my parents were baptized in March 1963. I was baptized six months later in October. I was 11 years old.
JCanon.Oh boy. The ex-JWs have almost as many wackos as the JWs!
I have a very complete collection of JW literature, going back to the Studies in the Scriptures. I started collecting as a teenager, and apart from the yearbooks, I have all but a dozen or so of the WTS's books.

Excuse me......I don't want to derail this thread too seriously. Seeker4? Wasn't the Let God Be True book also a required study book after the Truth That Leads to Eternal Life book? Or is my memory failing me? That was in 1970 and I believe that's what I had to study after finishing the "Truth" book.

I go back and read some of the old threads sometimes.

I think the Let God Be True book was pretty much obsolete by the time the Truth book was being used. I can't remember what other book was studied then. I really don't have my library here with me. It's still at my ex-wife's house.

Or was it, "...... In Freedom of the Sons of God"? Can't remember the first few words. Think it was a red book.
Thanks Seeker.

I miss the Unholy Trinity that was made up of: Unclebruce, Gumby and Dr. Jekyll. I'd sit here and laugh my ass of with them....One night we were all on at the same time, which was bizarre because Dr. Jekyll was in England, I'm in Canada, Gumby's in the States and Unclebruce was in Australia.
Those were the days.....
