The only time women can run mics and sound is if they are in a congregation of all women or unbaptized men. In the past when there were not as many men, I was in several congregations where sisters "ran" literature, magazines, sound, and "conducted" a book study. So I think they can't categorically say that women can never do it.

How stupid! Someone has to be below the national average. As long as people put in different amounts of time, you are going to have people below the average.

This is mathematically necessary. Suppose the national average is 10 hours a month. Everyone that is below that brings up their time to 10 hours, while those above that keeps it up. The average is now going to climb, maybe to 15 hours. Which becomes the new benchmark. So people bring it up to 15 that were below that, bringing the average to 18. The process repeats. In the meantime, those way above the average see the averages climbing, and will increase to stay ahead of the curve.

Eventually, the national average becomes unattainable to everyone. It can never exceed 744 (in a month with 31 days). Once you hit that, no one would have any time for anything but field circus. And the ones that hit that would be missing boasting sessions, and hence anyone that attends any boasting sessions would be below average. They cannot be used for "privileges(??)" because they are not at the average. Those at or above average are always out in field circus, and therefore cannot be used because they are missing all the boasting sessions (you cannot pass the mics at a boasting session if you skip it).

Hopefully, they are going to have no one to pick from. The mics will just sit there on the desk, because on one is there that can pass them. The sound will be dead because no one is qualified to run it. The littera-trash will pile up because no one is able to handle it. Hopefully, the Worldwide Pedophile Defense Fund goes unhandled because there is no one that is allowed to do that. And the organization will grind to a halt.

And no more waste of paper disrtribution campaigns, because no one is qualified to hand the consignments out to people.

I get the warm and fuzzy's just thinking about it...

At first I was quite upset about it. Over time it became a source of entertainment, as many mistakes were being made - especially from the sound box when kingdom songs suddenly started blasting in the middle of a prayer or talk. I'm sure the elders took note of my ex and I snickering.

I have had many fights about this national ave crap. I go to a hall where the cong ave is 13+ hours. So I say to the elders, what am I being jugded on ? the nat ave or the cong ave?

I got 5 different answers from 5 elders.

In the original congregation I attended, they were rather conservative/nazi-ish and they used the national average for anything. First talk of an appointment that was the first thing they would check.
