Thanks folks for the kind words!!!!

Sorry David - No pic's till I am at my goal weight or much closer!!! Watch this space!

OK New rule - no Pizza talk on my thread! Pizza is seriously my downfall - I can't have any, because like White Dove said - you can't just do one slice!

    Princess Congratulations that is GREAT!!!!

Thats my goal to lose 20 lbs. I just started Weight Watchers less than 3 weeks ago. I love that diet because it has so many food options. I am eating better than before I started the diet.

You are really sticking with it and you should be so proud of yourself. Keep up the good work.

Congrats on the weight loss. Everyone needs a goal. I've lost 31 pounds since January of '06. I want to loose another 13 lbs.

Best of luck! Weight Watchers is very good, and that is what I'm sticking to for the most part, besides regularily going to the gym.

great news! So what seems to work best for you? Is it just weight watchers, or have you created some rules for yourself?

Thanks again for the encouraging words...

    You can do it Velvy...!

Wow Wing Commander, that is great - well done!

Hortensia, The WW concept is quite good - you can really eat just about anything (although I need to not overdo it on the Hot Choc that my MIL just gave me!) but what I really think it boils down to is being in the right frame of mind to do it! I have been on diets before and lost a bit and then given up and picked up all that I lost and more, but now I am determined to do it properly and change my lifestyle.

I am doing this now, not only for cosmetic reasons, but healthwise, and I dont want a premature death due to heart problems or to become diabetic, and especially because I have a three year old daughter - I really do not want her to inherit an obsession with weight and weight loss, as I did from my mother. I want her to grow up, with me as her role model, and the kind of role model I want to be for her is a confident happy woman, with a healthy lifestyle and self confidence.

I think you're right. I have gone on diets my whole life and always gained the weight back. But my frame of mind is different this time and I have been successful for two years now - and it hasn't been hard, either. I don't want diabetes or high blood pressure or any of the diseases you get from a life of eating wrong. Don't want to die like my mother did, complications of diabetes.

Last week I picked up one of the two kilograms that I lost the week before, but I am thrilled to report that this week I lost 1.6 kgs, so back on track, plus..... I received my 10% award, which is the first little award you get, once you have lost 10% of your body weight! I am so proud of me!

I think that the 2 kg loss was a bit radical, because I had been sick for the two days prior to wighing so hadn't eaten much, then I went on medication and that screwed me around a bit, but I do believe that this week was a genuine weight loss so I am thrilled.
