Why? Are you thinking of sneaking in and changing all the locks whilst they're on vacation?

I went on vacations as often as I could. Officially you get one day off for each calendar month you work (12 days in a year). But, you usually seem to find more time off than that. I always did.

Lots of times we would do an all night weekend driving trip. Leaving just after work on Friday and returning in time for work on Monday morning. Yes, we weren't too productive on that Monday. You can't do that all the time because you only get one Saturday a month off if you're a brother.

Oh yeah, Bethelites are always finding deals on airfare and such. Plus friends from their congregations will offer to fly them out or at least help them out so they can do an extended trip to attend their home congregations District Convention.

The younger Bethelites go on holiday about every other weekend.

We knew a couple that were in Bethel that always went to Hawaii or Cancun. Have you noticed that many of the brothers from bethel go on really cool trips? Maybe they are getting a jumpstart on living in paradise. Must be nice. Oh--I am not bitter, just a little envious.

A Bethelite vacation is entirely dependant on two things: time off commensurate with seniority, and money, namely, having a sponsor. Yeah, that's right, if you don't have a sponsor at Bethel, you're screwed because how much can you do on $100 a month? You can go spend the night at a firends house, that's about it. But if you have a rich JW sponsoring you (eg. buying you new cars, sending you to Fiji, buying you new clothes, etc.), life is good. When I was at Bethel, it was plainly obvious which Bethlites had rich JWs sponsoring them.

My uncle at Bethel goes camping with my aunt in the Adirondacks. They get scheduled holidays, if I recall correctly.
