VM44..Ah yes..The "Concentration Camp story"..That was alive and well when I was a kid.............The government was going to round up all the Jehovah`s Witness`s!..When they did,I was told to wear my warmest coat and boots.(Jehovah`s Witness concentration camps are very cold!..LOL!!)......Even as a child..I would be tortured in the concentration camp, until I gave up being a Jehovah`s Witness!..And.....I would be forced to light the pile of wood that would burn both my parents to death!!..(Yes,I was really taught all this sh*t..LOL!!)...........................................OUTLAW

Oh, Outlaw! Wow! I don't remember the concentration camp stories. Thank God I was spared that one. I remember Paradise Lost though.

Several mentions of 9/11 here...Funny, I still was sorta in da twoof at the time, and I woke up that day and turned on the tele and there it all was, and I didn't even think about it being the Big A...I think it may have even had the opposite effect, where this terrible thing happened but I knew that it had no connection at all to JW's or their wacked out beliefs and I couldn't even bear to go to the Kingdumb Bloody Hell and listen to them prattle on about how Close We Are To The Endâ„¢. Ugh!

At least it was more than a "Thunder Storm"....

Ah Ha Ha Haaaaaaaaa!!!! I bet he tee tee'd in his pants.
Funny, 9/11 didn't have the Armageddon effect on me. Perhaps I had been out long enough.
I was well out by then.So 911 didn`t affect me,the way it would most Dubs

Isn't this interesting? I was in the turmoil of leaving during this time (but still thinking it's the truth) and I, too, never thought it was Armageddon. I thought it might possibly be the end of our world as we knew it (maybe our country would become war-torn) but never thought about the Big A. Maybe I felt so bad I didn't care anymore?

Hell, I was out since 1978 and was sure that 9/11 was the beginning of Armageddon.
When I finally got a hold of my brother on the phone I said, "Welcome to Armageddon". He agreed.
I didn't find you nut jobs until a couple of years later.
btw, Thanks!

OUTLAW- Like BFD and others here , I admit, I too was taken in by the 9/11 attacks ! Scared me $hitless ! At the time I had been DFed for 3 years and in part it was one reason I bothered to get reinstated in 2002. But soon after in late 2003 the " real light " came on when I saw injustices in the organization - and late 2003 I walked out of the kingdom hall one night cold turkey, never going back ! Then after getting out ; now I don't believe in any " Armageddon " ever happening. I think it's a blown up fantasy for religious people to want to get saved. Never gonna happen ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
