I had a typing class in high school and learned to type with both hands it has stayed with me to this day...do you hunt and peck with 2 fingers or whole handed...

I hunt and peck with most of my fingers on both hands. I learned to type in '72 on an old manual Underwood, but it didn't stay with me.

I never took typing classes but I type 'properly'.
Can't do 80 wpm anymore back down to 60.

Never touched a typewriter until typing class in high school. It was a business typing class. I eventually was able to type over 100 words per minute. That skill got me many a job where my other skills were equal to the other candidates. I'm still a fair typist. Before I had people on JWD that scanned the WT study article, I had to type it and my speed helped before my arthritis kicked in. So thanks so much to those who have scanned the articles in the past.
I started out on an IBM Selectric. They actually still have a couple at work to type forms that aren't on the computer.
