I could always type like the wind compared to my co-workers; not as fast as Blondie, though. Young people freak out when I use the numbers at the top instead of the ones on the side.

You hunt n peckers would save a lot of time if you would just learn to type. My honey does this and it drives me crazy.

I type properly. It is a waste of time to hunt and peck when I am trying to help ruin the Washtowel Slaveholdery.

I type at 50-60 wpm with whole hands. I learned how to type in jr hs, hs, and college.

Edit to add: I started with a manual typewriter in jr hs, IBM Selectric in HS, and computer in college.

I also learned how to do 10 key but don't use it anymore.

I took typing in school and type really fast with both hands and don't have to look at the keys. I can watch tv or talk to someone while typing. It sure is handy now that communication is mostly email and internet.

I have to admit I haven't got much patience for hunt and peck typers who only do one liners in email because they can't type well.

My husband is a hunt and peck typer, he takes hours to type a simple email if its a few paragraphs. That I have patience for as he is really trying, I offered to teach him to type but he refuses LOL

I type with both hands, but am not as fast as I'd like to be.

I work in a school district. There was job opening for a secretarial position at one school, but you had to type pretty fast. I took the test on a computer at the district office-the computer times the typing. I stayed there for two hours trying to get up my speed, then came back the next morning.

Voila!! Finally the computer told me that I had finished under the mandated time limit.

I went to the office to let them know, only to find out the position was now filled

I learned back in the 70s . . . well I started to learn in a typing class in junior high. I think my ability to learn was seriously hampered when I was sexually assaulted by a classmate right in the classroom filled with students. No matter how much I try to learn to type I'm still blocked

whole hand.. unfortunately we never had typing class by the time i got to highschool but we did have business. which teaches you how to make websites and use office documents etc.however, since most of that is pretty much common sense the only thing i learned from that class was how to type properly.. not from what was taught but from going on msn all day. :D
