    Welcome

It is good to just take some time to read, to ask questions, to think things over before making any quick decisions. It is also wise to perhaps wait a bit before discussing anything you read or discover with active Witnesses, such as family or elders.

This is not that you have anything to hide, but so that you can evaluate the things you are learning unhindered. Should you decide that what you have been taught doesn't add up and wish to leave the religion, please think twice before doing something like disassociating yourself.

Many here find it was best to quietly cease involvement. Once you start down this road, there is no going back. Start planning now for the inevitable. Good luck.

Welcome!!!! Just posting here shows you have a lot of courage. I too was a 3rd gen JW and know what you mean about not being able to doubt. Fortuently I saw the TRUTH about 'the truth' at the same time as my parents 1 1/2 years ago.

You've come to a great place for support, and don't mind Fred he's a moron!!!

Swyzzel: Nice to have a young person as yourself with us. Many here have learned much from the book 'crisis of conscience" written by once governing body member Raymond franz. It tells of the inner working's of the society that has taught all of the publishers the things you are uncomfortable with right now. This is the book that was the clencher for many of us here as it was the only book written by a former governing body member who knew what others did not know.
All that is said in it is documented so you can check the truthfulness of it's contents for yourself.
As for the fred hall guy....he is still a witness which is why his statements to you are not encouraging. Actually he is well liked here for his off the wall humor...just don't take him serious...as I said...he is a witness. We all look forward to you sharing with us my friend. Take care

    Hi swyzzel

You are doing a very brave thing. A thing that many of us here did not do until much later in life. You are questioning your own core beliefs.

This was my own liberation. I left nothing unchallenged. In the end I had to challenge theism itself and then I had to challenge the challenge.

Resolution has brought me resignation. A sort of quiet release. I have returned to my workshop and I look at life with a revenant reflection. I have nothing left to loose to the Witnesses so I have nothing to fear from them.
