I'll toss out an obvious one, Mick Taylor. Started with John Mayall, then joined the
Rolling Stones. His guitar licks from those years are as plaglarized as the quotes of christ.
Iris Dement. She hails from Arkansas. Her song Our Town was played at the end of the last episode of Northern Exposure. She's amazing:
Shawn Dean first of all!
Daniel Johnston
Jonathan Richman
Al Stewart
Pete Seeger (who is also the greatest American Patriot and citizen to have ever lived!)
Michelle Shocked
Louden Wainwright
Nick Drake
Here is another beautiful song by Iris Dement called Sweet Is The Melody:

Here's a duo with Iris Dement and John Prine that even includes a litte color commentary on how songwriting genius' work ;) And if this song can't make you grin, you probably were involved in some horrible accident and have your jaws wired together or sumthin' :

And then there is this from Iris and John, which perfectly describes how many JW couples feel around their best married friends in the congregation:
Rod Stewert: yes, I know, most of you recall his tacky butt in hot pink spandex when he went insane for the tasteless during the disco craze. But did you know he composed some damn good music long before that? Well he did. One of his songs was called:
Mandolin Wind:
Listen to it, it's gorgeous and soulful and the lyrics are great.
Tom Waits
Frank Zappa

I think at least one someone is trying to kill Hillary. And there may even be a conspiracy to make his head explode. :-D
