I am sure there are a bunch of kids who are having nightmares because of that book. I remember being terrified whenever we studied it (the first time it was studied I was about 11 or 12, maybe 13) I really can't remember how old I was when we studied Revelations the first time. I do remember that we would have some sweet "parties" afterwards, maybe to alleviate the horrible pictures and images of dying we had talked about for one hour. Too bad they cancelled book studies. The org. really does not want the "friends" to associate without their close supervision.

Yup, it is the same book. They did make minor revisions to hide the fact that the original was "old light", but the essence of it is the same. Anyone not going out in field circus all the time will soon be destroyed.

I have seen many times on a number of differant threads about the book study being cancelled. Is this just in certain areas or something? the congregations in this area still have them. My parents still have one at thier home.

The book study is being cancelled effective january 2009
The book study is NOT being cancelled. It is being added as a third meeting on the same night as the TMS and SM. The overall meeting time will remain the same since the TMS and SM will be shortened. Rub a Dub
