Read it again... you say you are a college student...

Being able to think isn't a prerequisite at every college aparently. You can get by with just a smart-ass attitude.

WT is always ready to quote those on the fringes of respectibility in their fields to supprot their wacky teachings.

Another technique they use is to cite or quote a source without naming the source.

For example, to lend credibility to their argument, in the February 15, 2006 Watchtower on page 7, they quote an unnamed "scholar".

They repeated this quote, complete with name omission, in a talk at the 2006 district convention.

Independent research reveals that this respected "scholar" is none other than Christian wacko Lee Strobel, author of the books "The Case for Christmas" and "The Case for Easter," among others.

Apparently the WT respects this member of BTG enough to cite him as an authority on Jesus... as long as they don't tell their sheep who he is.

BTW what is with college students getting all butthurt because they got insulted by someone on a message board? Boo hoo, get over it, pretend to be a grownup, eh?

But you were the only one who was rude to one of our respected members after he took the time to explain it to you.

oops! hit the enter button. Anyway, I posted something similiar about how the WT cites their sources. When I first read an Awake! or a WT, I once looked in the back for a bibliography only to find there was none. This struck me as suspect because anytime I've had to do research in college or high school, we had to properly cite sources in the event someone would actually look up the information for themselves (which I think is exactly what the WTO doesn't want you to do). A member of this site was nice enough to post this link about WT discrepencies. Hope it works. http://corior.blogspot.com

Of course you are. But you've made six posts about it in this thread, and that falls squarely into the category of Whining Crybaby. You say you're not hurt; that's obviously untrue as your disproportionate response to a single snide remark proves. As you suggest in your Yoda-inspired thread, we'd all do well to "get over ouselves." Sure A@G was being a dick. Why do you have a problem with that?
