I'm an amazon, that is from side to side. I have a Popeye and an Olive Oil, the action figures you know. Bought them for Mickey when he was here, along with a Popeye DVD. Haven't had Popeye's Chicken in years. I had Oatmeal for lunch, while watching a Touched by An Angel rerun. I think Della Reese might be an amazon. Hard to tell on TV
I don't think the amazon part is offensive. I think perhaps it's the big hips comment that made people think, "Hmmm, why do we need to know what size Michelle's hips are?"

5'11? 6'0? that's nothin'. I dated a girl,6'2, almost married her. and I'm 5'10. She did'nt have big hips, but damn some other ladies I've dated have. Woo-hoo!!

It's kinda neat to be that close to famous folks. $500 a plate........how much of that went to Billary for her debt/
"amazon"...back in the day thats what we called any big or tall well built woman. Varsity girl jocks, basketball and track girls usually. I find that term no more offensive than the current " thick" or ever popular "boodle-liscious" now in vouge.
