Simon,
Lol. I understand if you suck the bodily juices from one of those pretty South American tree frogs you can get quite dizzy.
My advise is to stick to escargots!

This is kind of similar to the 12 hads in a row.
Goes like this:
The boss asked two of his assistants Jeff and Bill to type up his meeting notes, to see which could do it quicker.
The notes contained at one point the phrase "had had" along with an instruction that it should be italics. Bill misread this as capitals.
Thus it was that Bill, where Jeff had had had, had HAD HAD; had HAD HAD had had had typed in instead, there wouldn't have been a problem with Bill's notes...
Pretty soon you realise that if you allow quotes in your sentence you can contrive these things to an infinite length.

Ah, I like "brainteasers" like that.
Try this:
This sentence has _______ letters
Fill the blank with a spelled-out number so that the sentence is correctly describing itself.
Kind of similar, and most computer geeks out there may already know that one, but those who don't should try it anyway: write a (syntactically correct!) program in your favourite language that prints out its own source code.
Once you know the trick it's fairly simple, although there's still a challenge to find shorter versions.

OK lets try a bit of general knowledge! Here's one I asked when I hosted the pub quiz:
Think back to the film Titanic. When the ships engines were put into reverse to try to avoid the iceberg, why did only 2 propellors reverse and the other, middle one, merely stop?
