that program is simple in old BASIC
1 LIST #8 (or whatever goes to the printer)
then run it and it prints on the paper:
1 LIST #8
and theres no errors.
Five in a row is NOTHING...
And and aNd, and anD and ANd, and aND and AnD, and and, are all different ways of using lower and upper-case letter in the word and, but they all mean the same, although only And and and are correct, and And is only corect at the start of a sentence, and being correct at all other times, unless one wish to use all-capitals for typographical impact, in which case AND can be used in place of And and and.
That's thirteen in a row, twenty-three in total.
(edited to remove ungrammatic and)

Hey Logi, that's almost cheating ;-) I mean, a language with a command to list the program itself...duh!
Eman, correct of course, here's another solution:
This sentence has thirtyone letters.
As regards the Titanic thing, I can't remember anything about that film except that I was forced to watch it after a long, hard day of work and fell asleep almost immediately. But from the description I'd guess the idea was to prevent the wheel effect of the propellers (well-known to anyone who's ever tried to maneuver a boat in a small harbour), which would happen if you had 2 props turning in one direction and one in the other.

I have more...- Simon
more of what?
Fodeja,
Nice try, but not right. The outside props contra rotated anyway. No, the answer is that the 2 outside props were steam piston driven, and as such could be easily reversed. The middle prop was driven by a steam turbine, and turbines can only turn in one direction. So it simply stopped when reverse was engaged.

English man, next time I'm scuba diving next to 46,329 ton ship running at 46,000 horse power, which seems to be in a reverse manouver, I'll remember to only swim near that middle prop!!!
p.s. English man, I came to your Bristol Colston Hall the other night to watch Pink Floyd the tribute. Pretty cool, my eyes are still hurting from all the lasers.
