Colored white or colored black?
colored in the common usage of the term
Once upon a time we were called "colored" people, but that was long before John Doe's time.
I don't know what we're going to do with him.

colored black?
Took me a while to make my kids understand why we are called black instead of brown...I'm still not so sure they got it I'm not so sure I get it
I don't know what we're going to do with him.
Yeah. That usage isn't common anymore, unless you spell out NAACP. Just looks like a funny word now.........
I hear (political correctness) African Americans (/ political correctness) refer to themselves as "people of color" quite often.

I remember back in the 1960's it was what all black people were called and they wanted it that way, they had a saying I'm Black and I'm Proud...can you tell I'm old.
I'm not really white either I'm more pink than white.

People of color and colored people are poles apart, John Doe.
You're welcome, LockedChaos.

People of color and colored people are poles apart,
Funny how that works, huh? The difference is the addition of "of" and the arrangement of the words...
