Welcome Mag! Your ex sounds like a jerk. Just be glad he didn't fight to keep your children involved...it could have been MUCH worse than it is from reading some other stories on here of people who've lost the fight to keep their kids out of the Cult.

Your ex probably fought for your DFing so he could go back to having a prominent place in the organization and snag himself a self-hating "sister" who has no problem letting him exert his masculine authority with her.

Here's something I don't quite get...most of the time men who are domineering bring a lot of that over into the bedroom. But with JWs all you have is missionary postition...lol...so what real benefit do they get for being "THE MAN" in the house? Just the feeling of superiority? Doesn't seem worth the trouble to me. If I were to claim "superiority" best be sure I'd be demanding some things in the bedroom that the JWs don't allow.

I am very glad to hear you are out of the org along with your two children. That is a blessing in itself. The fact that you have met the love of your life is another blessing. Just be happy and ignore the Witnesses. They must have used your lettter as a confession of adultery. But really, if you have no intention of ever going back, who cares what they think? They have no control over you anymore even if THEY think they do. Just forget about it, count your blessings and go on with your life. Wishing you continued success and happiness. Peace, Lilly
