I was sickeningly self righteous after being reinstated. Your friend is likely expressing that. I find that the righteous fervor wears off. You can't maintain it forever. Give the guy time. Stand your ground. Funny how they will say your silent conduct is a Witness -- right? Well the same goes for exJWs. When you are filled with hate and self destruction you prove thier negative prophesy true. Be a normal person. Heap firey coals on thier heads, eh?

Whatever you say to the guy, he'll use your name and tell the elders and/or others that he emailed you and that you told him that the Organization is full of it. I'd just dismiss his message and carry on. Why screw up a good thing, right?

I had a close friend who turned out to be a serial fornication/ reproof or DF / repent, remarry and Reinstated / then go back and do it again recycler. It went down with at least 4 JW girls that I know of.
He is now an elder.
You have to be very careful with these people. Their attitude is very much like a bad alcoholic or smoker who has been to AA or been to an antismoking hypnosis clinic and is now just full of the true spirit of redemption - except that they are just waiting to slip and do it all over again.
While they are "on the wagon", so to speak - they can be some of the most back-stabbing, disgustingly loyalist kissups in the JW world. He would probably just love to have the trophy of either getting an old backsliding friend like yourself back into the Borg, or possibly to expose you as an Apostate.
Wouldn't much matter which - either way makes points for him in the here and now - until the next pretty girl with an IQ of about 80 comes along.
It seems your old friend just keeps making stupid bad decisions.
