  Is this the Gospel?

  A large part of it, I would say.

  I still brake the ten commandments, I have broken relationships and the like. Why am I not fixed? I thought the Gospel was, the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Christ. 1 Cor15 and that I'm no longer facing the Wrath of God.

  The Gospel is more than a just a narrative of what happened with Jesus. It is a promise and a hope.

  I haven't read the book, just an overview of the chapters. Apparently, the substance (DMT) was able to induce full-on transcendent spirtual/religious experiences, some of which may be similar to what happens in NDE's. The researcher hypothesizes that DMT is produced in the pineal gland, and is released during sleep. This is why we dream. DMT brings us into the dream world, or so he thinks.

  Thanks, but I am more interested in what these NDE type experiences are and what they mean. The change people's lives forever. For example, a member of my family was kidnapped with her daughter and left to die in the trunk of a car. She had one, and it changed her forever. She wrote a book on the insights she received.

  Personally I think it's just the human brain, and human fear. If I had a NDE, I'd probably just cut down on salt and get back to the gym
