from a Yahoo e-mail group Hi All, As we start the new book in our book study I am already missing the exciting time we had studying the revelation book. Though many in our Bookstudy who were studying for the first time found it tough in the start, our book study overseer made it very easy. He made us a chart and as we covered the chapters and the visions we added the visions on the chart. Every week we would review the visions from the start and by the end we were all experts in remembering each of the visions and what they meant. Please find the chart at the following location. http://www.flickr.com/photos/zacktheriddle/2738044810/

It's hard to know which icon is best suited for such a dumb statement but take your pick:

Whatever kind of drugs that poster is on, please let me know. I wonder how it is to be that happy studying that crap.

I was at that stupid Revelation book study through three different trips through it. The first time, it was quite interesting, even if I didn't fully believe in everything contained therein. The second time, it was a bit stale. After that, pathetic. And having it slanted toward field circus did not help matters, either.

pulling out charts, etc around here is a big no no.

If by "wonderful" you mean mind-numbingly boring and devoid of anything resembling meaningful content, why yes, it was quite "wonderful".

I am old enough to have gone through the Babylon The Great book and the "Then is finished the mystery" book 2 times each. The Climax book was a relief after those.

blondie: I am old enough to have gone through . . . "Then is finished the mystery" book 2 times.
See how they mess with your mind? They title a book "Then is finished" without telling you that "then" refers to the "Climax."
blondie: The Climax book was a relief after those.
But we know it isn't really the Climax, yet, because right there in the title they admit that the Climax is only "At Hand!"
So, there will be another one eventually. The Revelation Climax book turns 20-years-old this year.

The last time they went through the Rev. Climax book at the Book Study, my favorite comment came from a very faithful, active, smart sister in her 80s.
When she heard, in a loud, very disgusted voice, she said: "My god, why are we going through that thing again!!??"
Her comment was the general consensus of JWs that I knew. This comment sounds like it's one of those sisters for whom every talk, every assembly and every convention is wonderful, and they just get "better and better." Even Witnesses want to strangle those kind of sisters !!
