How will YOU benefit by JWD closing?

  You are forever whining and carping about the forum's closure and telling Simon what he should do.

  Why don't you show us how committed you really are by starting your own forum?

  We don't need another forum. There are of course plenty of forums already. What we need is for this one to continue.

  If Simon would let me take over the forum I would. I would be willing to pay a reasonable price. But that seems a remote possibility. There will be people with better technical understanding and skills for running the forum than me. I just encourage them to do that.

  I am not telling Simon what to do. He himself has said he is looking to keep the forum open. Did you miss that? So I don't know why people are still carrying on like it is going to close unless they have some weird masochistic streak.

  SBF - I fail to understand why you cannot understand the purpose behind this thread.

  1. The forum is closing - or at least changing in nature. Simon's call.
  2. I am trying to find positive in that - and there is positive.
  3. You are off topic. I specifically asked this to be a positive thread about how we individually see good coming to our personal lives as a result of this change.
  4. This thread is not about whether or not we like that it is closing.
  5. There are other threads in which you can whine about it closing against your personal desire - this is not one of them. PLEASE.

  You are the one that wants to keep the positive ideas in the closet and create another weeping session, instead of allowing those who wish to find good opportunity from change to be discussed. The building has been determined to be razed - we can either cry about it or find a future vision that is positive. You would have everyone miss the magnificent view that is created by bemoaning the wonderful building that used to stand.

  Would you please do so in a different corner, so that we may discuss the positive effects that we see and you can't?

  more time, I suppose. Once I got used to the idea of JWD closing, I began to withdraw. I don't spend as much time here, or at other forums I've joined since the announcement. More time, get some projects done, take up another hobby.

  Ak-Jeff..The fact is..If JWD does close down,it will be of absolutely no benefit to me..And..It will be a "Great Loss" to most who post,read and lurk here..........I know that`s not what your looking for,but it`s the truth.....Thank God,Simon is considering options to keep it open..........Your a good guy AK-Jeff..My best to you!................OUTLAW

  Well, I think I'll get more sleep, read more, keep up on my household paperwork,exercise, and get more work done at work (), to name a few.

  But the fact is, it is not really a benefit for JWD to close. I love it. And I know there are more and more that are directed here when questioning JW. I want it alive for them...most of all.
