the thing that to me is undeniable is the fact that the Generation has now reverted back to what it was defined as over 80 years ago.

How did Jehovah allow His channel to drift out of the "light" for 80 years?? not only that but how was this "new light" Twice??!! when they were wrong bpth times?

With the Israelites, when they sinned Jehovah "withdrew" his blessing from them. he did not cause the bad things to happen but rather did not protect them from their enemies or bless them as a nation. Thus they fell further into sin.

Did Jehovahs modern day channel sin? Did Jehovah "withdrawal" His blessing from them? How else can we explain the error? After all, they had it right and then reasoned that Holy Spirit was teaching them something else. Did Jah/HS lie to the org? Or did the organization make a mistake? is there reasoning gods thoughts or mans thoughts? Are they a fleshly organization? After all it couldnt be Jah/HS that "guided" them. So who/what did?

what did the org do that caused Jehovah to allow them to blaspheme His word?

I am an "active" Jehovah's Witness in that I go to the meetings, smile and nod, and pretend to go along with everything happening around me. This is not because I believe that the WBTS has any redeeming value but because I am trying to keep my family from being shred to pieces

So am I Easyreader, at least I go along most Sundays. I understand perfectly

But for the fully indoctrinated and assimilated, evidences I might have will fall on deaf ears.

Yes, but it worked on us, didn't it?? I was fully assimilated, had done it almost all my life but when circumstances threw, firstly reasons to question it, and then evidences, I was out, mentally at least. If it worked for us we have to believe that there are "honest hearted ones" among them for whom truth, with a small t, is still important

(Y knot): The others stay due to the mixture of belief in the core 3, and family.

(Insearchoftruth): What are you referring to when you say the "Core Three?"

(Answer): The disbelief in trinity, Immortality of soul, and hellfire.

That isn't much reason to stay -- atheists don't believe in the Trinity, immortality of the soul, and hellfire...

Thanks for the responses, everyone. It's pretty clear to me now that there isn't much hope of me breaking through to anybody who is hardwired. What has to happen is that the WBTS has to trip over itself and momentarily jar these people into thinking.

I really can't think of any one incident that led me down my own path. I have never fully had total faith in the Biblical text anyway, so it's been difficult to tie me down to Biblical or extra-Biblical doctrine. I did see at one time goodness in the Organization as a whole, though, with their high moral standards. I didn't really realize that they didn't own decency exclusively and, in spite of the "state of the world", there are plenty of decent people out there who are not all self-worshipping pawns of Satan.

What did encourage me to start investigating, though, was the behavior of many of the elders in the congregation I was in at the time. All of them did their own thing and none of them seemed to have anything to do with Jehovah in their personal lives. It was obvious to me that this group of elders could in no way be "spirit-appointed" unless the spirit had been smoking weed.

So I will be less antsy and more patient. It's painful for me to sit in those meetings but I do it for the sake of keeping my family in one piece. And at least, come January, there will be one less spiritually worthless meeting for me to sit through.

I have many discussions with JW's, including elders, on doctrinal issues. Some dare to go further than others.....BUT.........to show them that it is NOT Gods spirit directed organisation......because Spirit direction has nothing to do with it...is a tough one. I can discuss anything as long as one thing is understood: Doubting the FDS and the GB is a big NONO.

But I still keep posing questions.....

    Cheers

The ones remaining JW for those reasons do believe in a God and his son as a messiah, which of course rules out atheism.

There are only usually two issues with the Bible Students...... dispensationalism and lack of congregations. Sure most would agree we are 'drawing nearer' but after a lifetime of 'the end is nigh', most really would like to focus on Christian maturation (which of course is not encouraged among the JWs, only reliance on the WTS).

The only way to get people out is to make them think. And with that, you will need some worldly source (that is, one that does not come from an ex-witless). Sources that teach people how simple the rules of morals actually are will be quite effective. And once anyone sees that, they will see how needlessly stupid the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger makes things.

Combatting Mind Control is one such source, since that is not looked at as "apostate".
