Thanks FHN ... no. Depending on my mood I can be agnostic/athiestic/freethinker. But yeah, if it does her 'good' then that's fine.

I float somewhere in between agnosticism and Universalism. I believe, but I feel a distance between God and me. I do, however, see a definite link between prayer by many and results. I've watched it for over two years now. And it doesn't have to be prayer to a Bible god. It can be well wishes from agnostics or athiests, "just in case someone up there is listening" communing. Something about all that positive energy just seems to help, or I would not have made it through all the heart ache of the last two years.

It can't hurt for sure. I am not sure what you mean by free thinker. I was a free thinker and then my mind was hijacked by the JW's. But that didn't last long. Now, I am a very unconventional believer. I go with the feelings I had when I was a small child, before grown ups tried to pollute my thinking: I was a mini universalist.
