The people vs the Organisation of the WTBTS
Who are you specificly?
What would you like to see accomplished in the short, medium and long term strategic planning?
What action plans precisely would you have in mind?
What is your level of committment, and how far are you prepared to take this?
Oneliners, smart-alecs, please for once, DONT BOTHER REPLYING, I want to see who is definitely serious about this.

I'm not quite sure your purpose in asking "Who are you specifically?" I don't know if it matters who we are. I just didn't know where you were going with it, so I won't answer that yet.
Well, to be honest, my "goal" is not the WTBTS. It's my family. I know that may sound selfish, but I don't think that taking down the WTS is a realistic goal for me to be involved in. I'm starting small. My JW parents and my brothers. I am pretty committed to doing WHATEVER I can do WHENEVER I can do it, to help them out of the collective borg. Sometimes that means being silent and many times it means having good timing about when to say what. My action plan changes from week to week depending on every contact with them. But long term, my plan is to bit by bit feed them doubts by asking a well-timed or planted question. I hope over time it will make them think twice about their loyalties to an organization instead of to God.

PS: Just had to add one quick one-liner. Some of your questions sound like some of the committee meetings I'm involved with at church. Heehee! You might want to explain why you are asking such questions.
I work for an independent UK think tank in Community Regeneration and Social Exclusion issues.
If I can get a real time inclination of who is serious about chipping away further up the ladder, I am most interested.
Presently, I'm contacting Religious Correspondents from the news media, to try to put together a broadcastable response from the Society on certain key issues, in the style of Tim Sebastion interviewing / interrogation.
Sure, I'm not knocking the chipping away at the family level, I'm just far more interested in campaigning on a much larger scale pro-actively, so that the public at large may get a fairer overall, imformed view of what this organisation is all about.
I hope that clarifies the irregularity.

I assume you are asking us what we are really doing to help educate people in general about concerns with the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society and the countless people who have suffered needlessly due to this so called religion.
Who am I?
Something like nobody only not like that all (sort of).
I had a goal in a personal situation that has since been lost to me.
On a larger scale, I have tried to contribute to publicizing the United Nations scandal by contacting a variety of newspapers. Sadly, that has not been particularly successful either. However, I will probably continue to contribute in that manner as much as I possibly can.
I have no idea if I should hold out hope for either situation.
Not knocking individual efforts at all, everyones efforts should be applauded, I'm looking at the gaps in the provision only, how we can be even more effective with what we are trying to set out to accomplish.
We all know the Society's take on these current scenario's, they'll take the prudent and 'wise' step of staying stum on many of the issues, knowing eventually the issues will die down with time, they also know the disarray the ex witness community is in and frankly, in the medium to longer term I doubt we're making them shake in their boots very much.
They will as always, thus take the stronger strategic advantage in this game, unless the odds are upped very much towards not being in their favour. Perhaps more might be done effectively to back them up into one of their unmanoevarable corners, to get direct answers from them and guarantees of future changes in teaching direction.

1. As a victim of sexual abuse by an active JW, I am a supporter of Silentlambs and will help any who are on that road.
2. I am filing a complaint with the ACLU against the WTBTS for shunning as it relates to parental issues. I have spoken to the AG's office locally and also with NOW.
3. I am very aware of the alienation of affection issues involved also and am working to hold any accountable for that also.\
4. And the local newspapers know me by my first name now.

I think you and I are pretty much on the same wave length on this. Our big lack is not ammunition or targets, but we simply aren't organized enough. I've been rather preoccupied about this for some time now and is the biggest reason that I haven't posted that much.
Hopefully, if "the good Lord's willin' an' the creeks don't rise", I'm going to post a series of things on these very subjects very soon now. I'm tenatively planning to call them "Ruminations on the Whole WTBTS Mess." They will be concentrating primarily on strategies and ways and means to use the tools we already have in hand. Our hand is not weak, and it would behoove the Org not to underestimate it.
