I never believed a word of any of it !

Raised a J.W from birth, i'd sit in the meetings and at conventions wondering what the hell it was all about and that it was all one big joke and imagine that they''d all suddenly turn around laughing and pointing at me !! saying something like "haha the joke's on you"

Then i'd stop daydreaming and i was still none the wiser.

I hate this religion so much, i hate what it's done to my family, i hate how it screwed my head up for many, many years, i hate that it still has my parents minds and i hate the f****er who started this nonesense.

Thank you for listening to my mini rant.

You're welcome. We all need to rant now and then.

I'm curious. If you never believed a word of it, what was it that messed with your head for years? For me I always had serious doubts but cognitive dissonance, superstitions, and fear messed with my head--none of which would have happened if I didn't believe it a little.

My parents messed with my head, i lived in fear every day and believed in them and wanted to please them. i blame the faith for making and moulding my parents this way

ranting is okay to do once in a while...everyone needs to release some steam occassionally and a good rant is far better than many other methods some people choose.

Certainly feelings of being betrayed by someone, or some group that you trusted and loved are unavoidable when it comes to the WT.

As a suggestion, I find turning those feelings of being betrayed in to something positive by helping others to realize the dangers inherant in the WT cult and to help free minds. Helping other people out of a seriously messed up group is a good deed worthy of ones time and effort - as long as it doesn't become an obsession. You also need to get on with your life, but doing a few good deeds along the way adds some wonderful icing to the cake along the way.

    Hi Oricle,

what great advice. it has taken a long time to get on with my life, ive had my troubles like everyone. its hard to talk to my parents about this subject though as thet are VERY defensive even agressive. i'd love to free their minds.

    Welcome to the forum billy.

I was born into the religion also.

A childs innate instinct is to trust their parents, relatives and elders. They betrayed our trust.

I also hate the f*****g feligion.
