  This is a very typical method the WT uses to say something without actually saying it. As usual, they ask a question then give a very long-assed explaination of thier answer without actually saying what their answer is. It isn't until the last couple of lines until they basically say that JWs are the only ones even trying to live up to the "biblical" requirements and they are trying to help others to do the same.

  In a nutshell, they are still saying the same old crap: only JW's will "be saved", and maybe the ones they are studying with will too.

  I do agree though, in the Public Edition the line is slightly softer than in the JW edition

  You mean there are 2 different editions, one for the in-group and one for outsiders? It would be interesting to see them side-by-side.

  "Cooperate with the Savior" - iow, Jehovah's Witnesses.
  
  Matthew 7:21 - cited or quoted extensively in WT publications to bolster their claims of exclusivity.
  
  3 Requirements - More coded talk for, salvation depends on becoming a JW's.

  How do you identify the true means of salvation? You make up a list! At least this particular list is down to three requirements. I think the list in the reasoning book on how to identify the true religion is ten. woopee!

  In any class, it depends on the teacher. The students in my professors economics 101 class are going to have a different perspective of economics than the students in the other professors class-especially if they only have one teacher and never have any other views really presented to them-they will only see it through the lens of their economics professor. However a person who has a variety of professors and pays attention to various factors in the business of economics are going to have a fuller, more complete view of what is happening in the world.
  
  What the WT does is basically tells the students that all the other teachers are evil, have bad motivations and only want you in their class so that they can take advantage of you $$ and steal your 'life' away to Satan by ignoring the truths they have to offer. They may be more subtle than that, but not always:)

  The key phrase here is this

  How does the lost man respond to the offer of help....

  According to WT take on it, "the man's pride might get in the way of asking for help"

  Fact: In order to give the help, the man is going to be asked to compromise in some way. That is not pride. That is compromising your principles.

  It reminds me of the way some of the homeless shelters operate. In order to get a meal, you have to come an hour early and sit and listen to a religious sermon before they feed you. They force this on you. It is a condition of being able to have a meal and a bed for the night. You have to play their game.

  So when WT makes it sound like "pride is in the way of asking for help" what they really mean is ARE YOU WILLING TO COMPROMISE YOUR PRINCIPLES TO RECEIVE OUR HELP"

  This verse will play PROMINENTLY in the near future.

  I'll make it clear why they are saying that. Remember, this is a showcase edition of the Washtowel. They are trying to present their best side, and telling people that those outside the religion may also be saved. Then people see the religion as not that bad, and they are less scared from joining.

  However, once they join, they see the Kool-Aid Washtowels. In those, it is clear that only witlesses in good standing, that are going beyond their best, are eligible for salvation. And then you cannot be harboring any real desires or doing anything that the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger does not approve of. And that carries on through all the boasting sessions including the bigger ones. If you are not doing everything in your power to get everyone in, you will not be saved and you have murdered those you should have reached but didn't.

  I find it interesting that Romans 10:9 - which seems to offer a clear cut definition of who wil be saved is omitted from the requirements -

  9 For if you publicly declare that ‘word in your own mouth,’ that Jesus is Lord, and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved.
