Some individuals may make tape recordings of congregation meetings or assembly and convention programs for their personal use. Such recordings may also be appreciated by members of the congregation who for some good reason are not able to be present at the meetings. However, these should not be made for distribution among the brothers in general or offered for sale to others. May we make full use of all that Jehovah has provided through his organization for our spiritual encouragement and upbuilding.

More proof that they have something to hide from the public. True, the government would try to squash any movement that is actually going to help society (they would stand to lose power). However, this is not helping society when they go and hide the core doctrine from people, and try to stop people from telling the actual effects of the doctrines on actual members.

They do not want joiners to realize that they are in for a life of stagnation if they join, until it's too late. If they did, most would quit before they get more than a couple of studies in the book.

U-tube is so great now. Years ago when speakers at assemblies said things in the past (like "1975" extremely pushed by circuit/district overseers and at assemblies) and , the organization could just deny it later because there sometimes was not as much "proof." Now with video & worldwide internet, including U-Tube, the organization's ridiculousness is now "caught" more quickly than ever.

The local Hall just gave a local needs talk on NOT circulating Losch's talk that's been here on the internet as well as in a number of Witness hands. Evidently quite a few JWs are listening to the tape, making copies and letting everyone hear it. Well, the "Faithful & Discreet Slave" has said NOT to do this any longer. If THEY wanted it distributed, THEY would see to it that it was.

LMAO! Sort of a strange request from the ~~goons~~ guys that Jesus (supposedly) gave the responsibility for preaching to everyone on earth. Why don't they want Loesh's talk circulated? What's wrong with mass distribution by email or links or public forums? Wouldn't that get the "word" out faster and to alot more people?

The bottom line is: The Slobbering Body members do not want insane talks like the one that Loesh gave, being looked at either by 'postates or 'worldly' people because they know full well it's another nail in their coffin. I forwarded the talk to my boss and he was shocked and thoroughly disgusted that anyone would compare going to university with surviving a suicide attempt. I'm sure the reaction would be quite similar to anyone outside the Borg that views it.

Unfortunately for the WTS, they cannot prevent this from being put on Youtube or other sites, at least for the time being. I'm guessing that one day in the not-too-distant-future, they're going tell people at the beginning of the meetings, Circus ASSemblies and Distract ASSemblies that tape recorders and video recorders are not permitted.

Mary..Your probably right..The next step will be to ban tape recorders and video recorders.....People record movies at the Movie Theater all the time all the time..It`s not allowed,but it`s still done.....There will be some JW`s that will do the same..The WBT$ is doing 100mph and they`re headed straight for Hell!!..LOL!!.....The information age is just starting to be a headache for the WBT$..It`s going to get a lot worse..
