Traffic's The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys is a song I used to listen to over and over again. It was trancelike.

DanTheMan,
One by Metallica is one of my many favorites too. Awesome!
And also, call me weird, but IMO "Bat Our Of Hell" is a beautiful love song.
Also in my list:
Unchained Melody,
Spirit in the Sky,
Just What I Needed,
Why Can't This Be Love,
Baby Come Back, Escape (the pina colada song),
Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy (Andrews sisters),
Also, best instrumental, Joe Satriani, "Always with me, Always with you" Best classical, Pachabel, "Canon".

LOVE ME TENDER. a young Elvis Presley, what a voice, what heart. There are so many others.
I remember when they did the top 500 songs over the 4th of July and Labor day weekends and " The Still Of The Night " was number one for years.

One of my favorites too. I've got a MP3 "backing track" of it (rhythm guitar, bass, drums) that I play the lead guitar part along with, I plan on posting a vid on youtube of me playing it sometime soon. There's a couple of parts that I don't have down well enough yet though.

I'm a Steeleye Span fan, Stilla. I like Saucy Sailor (the intro ah how lovely) and Black Leg Miner (interesting to hear how the English use the banjo in traditional music), well and so many more. Loved them ever since I was 15 or so.
