I noticed that you have my puppy literally stomping the daylight out of the Star of Bethlehem. I have a GOOD puppy, but I already knew that before he did THIS deed. He has done an excellent job today, and is worthy of two treats this time.

Ah, the freedom and great benefits that comes with turning one's back on the true religion. Such ones can now actually have a CHRISTMAS TREE!!! Yes, yes, YES!!! Golly gee! Wowie!!!! Woo hoo!!!

Instead of the good, warm, satisfied feeling that comes with knowing that they're on God's side of the issues, they opt for the nice warm glow of a Yule log on a certain date along with the twinkle of all sorts of ARTIFICIAL lights ... lights that have replaced the TRUE light that had come into the world in the first century, namely Jesus himself. (see John 1:9-10) Also the company of friends, who just like THEM have lost all ability to reason on the issue of whether to celebrate Christmas or not. Oh the delights of CHRISTMAS. It's all so, so good! Puke! I was once told by a certain person, "It's not normal to have no friends." Yes, I agree, it was never God’s intent that we live as hermits and it's therefore too bad that for the present time I can't enjoy close assoication with friends who are worthy of being called friends. But I have my wife, sons, and their wives and children (albeit some of which haven't caught on yet), and that will suffice for me until things change. (Daniel 11:35) I think of those JWs who have gone to prison in times past, as well as recently. Were/are they living out their sentences among "friends" necessarily? Not in every case. I think of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego ... names which Nebuchadnezzar gave them ... and how they were singled out and pulled away from the rest of the Israelites in order to serve the king's interests "in the palace of the king". What did THEY do for friends? The three of them had each other, and that's it, it seems. So, it's not as if we'll die without having associates. I'm a living testimony of that! Oh, of course I have my PUPPY. Don’t want to leave him out of the mix, he’s too good a friend to be neglected.

Hi Pierced Angel and LB,

I didn't put up a tree for the same reason as you, LB--my son and his family. I've only been inactive for 8 months. Pierced Angel, your tree is very festive.

However, I did buy a string of clear miniature lites and put them around an arrangement I had of red silk roses and green ivy. It's very attractive and perfectly 'legal' in the JW world.

I was simply making a coment about you and how sad it is you can't partake in a great holiday like Christmas. So how is that slanderous? So again I repeat;
