She does not care, because this is only a discussion board. Truthfully, I think kissing a man is gross, but I have no problem with giving a man a hug. Besides in many cultures hugging and kissing a person of the same sex is not a taboo thing, weather gay or strait.

Howdy,
My mother-in-law lives within shouting distance from us - been a jw her whole life.....we're considered inactive, so we don't want to rock the boat either - I want to keep my family, and I have a right to that.
So! I've made wreaths this year with natural things, like berries, holly, ivy, pinecones painted gold, etc. Looks seasonally Christmas - but can't be condemned, even by jw's.
Would love to have a tree, but will do without. Oh! and lots of Snowmen - nothing jw pagan about them!

I agree with you fake trees don't work for me. I bought a small live tree. It is 1/3 of a meter tall. In the spring I am planting it in my yard next to the garden I am building. The tree came complete with decorations for six dollars. I would post it, but I don't have the equipment necessary to do so.

If December 25th is a "Christian" holiday because Christians celebrate the birth of Christ on that date, then why should "non-religious people" have anything to do with it at all. I'll tell YOU why!
