I'll go with the independent. Because the implication is that an independent would examine the facts and seek truth. Where as if you belong to a party you have to go with your parties version of the truth. Which kind of makes you a liar or delusional.

A Democrat would sit around whining and crying about how someone else caused you both to be stranded on the island while biting and chewing their nails and jacking off.

A democrat would opt for a fair system where both of you will eat and figure out a way to be sure food sources will not dry up.
