THE GREATER BOSTON FOOD BANK TOPS OFF NEW WAREHOUSE

BOSTON – The Greater Boston Food Bank approached 50 percent completion of its new warehouse facility on June 12 when the traditional white beam – signed by The Food Bank employees, invited guests and members of Ironworkers Local 7 - was lowered in place onto the structure’s frame during a topping off ceremony.

The new warehouse on South Bay Avenue is just blocks from The Food Bank's current location on Atkinson Street in the city’s Newmarket Business District. The Food Bank staff, Boston city officials, construction industry representatives, Food Bank board members and donors were on hand to witness the event.

Consigli Construction Company is the contractor for the building, which was designed by the Chan Krieger Sieniewicz architectural firm. The project is slated for completion in winter 2009.

The Greater Boston Food Bank distributes approximately 30 million pounds of food and grocery products annually to more than 600 hunger-relief agencies in a dedicated partnership to end hunger in eastern Massachusetts. Colin Powell has made bizarre comments that echo the recent declaration by Democratic VP candidate Joe Biden that there will be an “international crisis” early into Barack Obama’s presidency that will test the new president by forcing him to make unpopular decisions.
Speaking on meet the press two days ago, Powell officially endorsed Obama and also made the following statement:
“The problems will always be there and there’s going to be a crisis which will come along on the 21st, 22nd of January that we don’t even know about right now.
So I think what the President has to start to do is to start using the power of the oval office and the power of his personality to convince the American people and convince the world that America is solid, that America is going to move forward, we are going to fix our economic problems, we’re going to meet out overseas obligations.”

Joe Biden has a reputation for shooting off his mouth and he has access to foreign intelligence that few people do. He has blatantly predicted a crisis within 6 months after Obama is elected. Further, his remarks are odd because they seem to be more specific than just comparing him generally to Kennedy.

How many of you know that Pakistan - with its nukes - is virtually bankrupt? That Venezuela could fall apart with sub- 80 dollar oil? And the radioactive ship rumors are still there.

I don't think they quietly gather world military leaders in a remote location just to go 'hunting' as claimed. And if you don't think astounding things can happen without the public being informed, I suggest you read "Red Star Rogue" as to how the world nearly ended in 1969.

In 2005, the book Red Star Rogue: The Untold Story of a Soviet Submarine's Nuclear Strike Attempt on the U.S., by former American submariner Kenneth Sewell in collaboration with journalist Clint Richmond, claimed K-129 was sunk 300 miles (560 km) northwest of Oahu on 7 March 1968 while attempting to launch her three ballistic missiles, in a rogue attempt to destroy Pearl Harbor.

Sewell claims that the sinking of Scorpion was caused by a retaliatory strike for the sinking of K-129, which the Soviets had attributed to a collision with USS Swordfish (SSN-579).

In 1995, when Peter Huchthausen began work on a book about the Soviet underwater fleet, he interviewed former Soviet Admiral Victor Dygalo, who stated that the true history of K-129 has not been revealed because of the informal agreement between the two countries' senior naval commands. The purpose of that secrecy, he alleged, is to stop any further research into the losses of either Scorpion or K-129. Huchthausen states that Dygalo told him to "forget about ever resolving these sad issues for the surviving families." [6]
