In all honesty, I was the one who had to do a lot of the changes and I had to stop trying to change him... Once I was able to learn how to meet him halfway on things, his defenses came down and I was able to speak more freely to him. So, he's naturally met me halfway also. If you'd like to know more details, let me know and I can tell you a bunch of things that I started doing differently. Actually, I think I'll start a new thread on it...

we are also expecting our first child in April. We are both very excited!!!
