I went out to dinner with my aunt. Got to blow out a candle and everything!!! She gave me a card and a beautiful necklace!!! It was so nice.
Came home, told my husband and he said that was really nice of her. I said that I knew he didn't like birthdays so maybe instead we could celebrate "happy cognac day" with an actual present this year. (We call it that so it doesn't bother him.) He said ok. So, this year I'll make it easy for him cause he's just not used to it. I'll go get my own present, wrap it, get a card and have him sign it, lol.
PS. He is still a JW and I'd say we have pretty much met halfway on everything. I'm willing to say that this is a JW/non-JW relationship that actually works and we are both very happy. As another update, we are also expecting our first child in April. We are both very excited!!!
