Wow! I didn't know he was sick either. I have read many of his books and always loved the amount of research he put into them. His blending of fact and fiction was very well done.
Sorry to see him die at such a young age.

His book, Jurassic Park, is excellent.
Bummer. Major bummer. I'm a big fan of his books. They're a lot of fun. Sphere was great, the movie butchered it. Jurassic Park would have been a much, much better movie had they stuck to the book (the scene alone where the paeleontologist landed in the velociraptor nest would have been worth it).
On the other hand, he now knows the answer to the question we all want to know . . . .
I was really surprised to hear that he had died......poor guy. I'm actually in the middle of reading State of Fear that he wrote.
I really enjoyed State of Fear and some of his other books, and I'm saddened at his death. However, since when is 66 young?
Mary, how are you liking the book? For me, it sure put a different spin on some of the environmental hype you see.
Now Doe, quit being argumentative. Sixties are young. For death.
I would say that 66 and 4 wives is old.
Timeline was classic.
If you're 26, then 66 is old.
If you're 56, then 66 isn't old at all.
It's all about perspective and how close you are to circling the drain.
