Didn't Jesus say to that other guy on the stake "you will be with me in paradise" or something like that?

But yeah, the term "Paradise Earth" isn't in the bible. However, if you take a couple sentences from the bible and paste them together, you will get a nice string of scriptures that talk about Paradise Erf. And that is how you write a Watchtower article. (1 Corinthians 2:8, Numbers 6:5, Revelation 21:21, Song of Solomon 2:4)

Jesus said: "Trully I tell you...today you will be with me in Paradise, ...or trully I tell you today...you will be with me in Paradise."

The Dubs don't believe that Jesus will ever physically return to Earth. Rather, he is in heaven only according to them. Thus, even in the Witness "bible", Jesus must have been referring to a heavenly paradise in that scripture.

    Huh?

The WTS is backpeddling on this understanding somewhat..........sometime between trib and the Big A Matt 24:31 they are saying that he will be seen coming in the clouds. He apparently just hovers and collects the anointed but somehow he is still within the earth's atmosphere...

Billy the EX-Bethelite's thread on 2008 Sydney Zone talk given by Losch touches on the subject of Jesus having a visible return.

Although Paul does not describe paradise, does Paul’s vision from the Lord count?

    2 Corinthians 12:4

    Paul's Vision and His Thorn

1I must go on boasting. Although there is nothing to be gained, I will go on to visions and revelationsfrom the Lord. 2I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. 3And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— 4was caught up to paradise. He heard inexpressible things, things that man is not permitted to tell.

    King James

4How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

    English Standard Bible

3And I know that this man was caught up into ( F ) paradise—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, ( G ) God knows—

    NWT

3 Yes, I know such a man—whether in the body or apart from the body, I do not know, God knows— 4 that he was caught away into paradise and heard unutterable words which it is not lawful for a man to speak.

    New Living Bible

that I was caught up [ a ] to paradise and heard things so astounding that they cannot be expressed in words, things no human is allowed to tell.

Foot Notes: 2 Corinthians 12:4 Greek But I know such a man, 4 that he was caught up.

2 Corinthians 12:4 (Wycliffe New Testament)

4 that he was snatched (up) into paradise, and heard privy words, which it is not leaveful to a man [for] to speak.

So when was he caught up? Where is Paradise! Where is up or was it away? Third Heavens? Where is Paradise? Did Paul know if the person was in body are apart from the body!

Like most JW will say, “No big deal it was just a vision! ” as if one should not consider it!

The thief on the cross/stake is a matter of bible interpretation which we have no control because scholars of the past messed it up for the rest of bible thumbers. However, we do get to choose what we believe or not. "Truly I tell you...today you will be with me in Paradise (spiritual), ...or truly I tell you today...you will be with me in Paradise." WTBTS physical and future. According to Paul's vision Paradise perhaps could be referring to a spiritual paradise and not an earthly one but if he could not figure it out WHAT MAKES ANYONE THINK THEY CAN? I think if Paul did not know and he left it to God maybe that is your answer.

    Sarah Smile,

Good one. Third heaven, paradise. Vision or not, what or where would that be? I thought about it for a long time and then asked: What and where was the first heaven? They (Jews in Corinth that wrote him) should have know the answer to that. To a Jew it would be the Law and the Kingdom ruled by it right here on earth for a few thousand year. Heaven simply denoted the authority that governed them. Then what would be the second heaven? To Jew that became a Christian in Corinth that would be the New Covenant apart from Law that now rules over them right now and right here on earth. If the reasoning is correct then the third heaven would be a vision of a future heaven where Christ now enthroned as King would rule over them when He returns as promised right here on earth and this Kingdom would also be the Paradise promised the thief. You know the same place John discussed in much of the Revelation. That heaven with it's New Jerusalem that comes down here to settle in for the duration.

And what exactly is this huge monolith that drops from the sky?

It is some sort of physical structure.

If this is The Kingdom...its like a dome of some sort and people will not be living in a (contaminated) illusion of paradise earth, but will be living in some kind of biosphere. Go to Rev. and look at the description of this "New Jerusalem" that drops from the skies.

Christ himself never gave a description of what so called paradise was - none that I can think of anyway (it's been a while since I read the bible) He only mentioned to the one thief that "today you will be with me in paradise"

    Revelation - was Johns' vision

Isaiah - Isaiahs' vision & so on.

Both books have many layers and I wouldn't take it as literal.
