I am sure I am not alone when I say that the Revalation book was one of the biggest crocks of crap to come down the river in a long time.
Many were the nights I spent PORING over and prayerfully trying to understand what I thought Jehovah was revealing to me thru this 'grand' book.
Now I know it was nothing more than ruminations of hatred and jealousy on the part of the 'twelve angry men'--the governing body.

I just checked out the p. 52 illustration in my own copy of the Rev book. The WTC is there clear as day. It's uncannily reminiscent of what they looked like as they collapsed on Sept 11.
Maybe we can get the WTS to redo the new Awake! with that as the cover illustration!! What hypocrisy.

Propganda of the worst kind. This is total bull shit. JW's don't advocate the violence that took place on 9/11. Nor do they advocate the violence that is going on in Afghanistan involving more deaths of innocent people. JW's are known for their refusal to carry on violence. On the other hand if some god wants to carry out justice that is another matter.

Randy, I think the most embarrassing thing in the Revelation book has to be the part which takes parts of Revelation to be a prophecy of the imprisonment of some of the early bible students.
This has to not only be the most ridiculous explanation of the symolism but also is one of the best examples of how haughty, full of pride and presumptious these leaders were to think that they were personally pictured in the Bible in this way.
Some would go as far as to say that these interpretations are "adding to scripture", something the JWs are good at, as one can only have a "bible study" with them using one of their own books which put their slant on everything.
Also, I know you have made predictions as to future doctrine changes, but surely when the 1914 doctrine goes, this particular piece of understanding will have to go too, and it will appear even more stupid than it does now.
